About this Opportunity:

Serves as a product champion for the DWR Collection by identifying, developing, implementing, and managing product management activities to achieve sales and profitability goals. Responsible for product direction, pricing, profit plans and product development (full product lifecycle); fulfilling the needs of the category and assortment strategy. Must collaborate closely with Category Buyer counterparts in addition to Design, Product Development, Sourcing and Planning partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a strong awareness of the competitive set, industry trends, and market opportunities, while leveraging analytical skills to inform product briefs and evaluate performance.

  • Manages full lifecycle of the product from identification, introduction, through growth and maturity, to decline and discontinuation.

  • Partners closely with Product Development, Design, and Sourcing to ensure product brief requirements are met from aesthetic to business objectives and profit goals.

  • Builds and maintains strong connection with buyer counterparts, maintaining open lines of communication regarding over-arching category strategy and DWR Collection specific growth plans.

  • Takes a brand and customer-first approach, driving business growth while evolving the assortment and advancing the brand.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional counterparts to build and execute effective go-to-market strategies for new collection launches.

  • Demonstrates creative problem-solving and adaptability, with the ability to pivot quickly based on business needs.

  • Leads efforts to resolve quality issues, implementing improvements that positively impact P&L.

  • Manages and mentors the Assistant Product Manager, including creating individual development plans and providing ongoing support to ensure success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; preferred fields include Marketing, Business Administration, Design, or Interior Design.

  • 4 - 7 years of experience in Product Management or Merchandising, with a strong understanding of product management best practices and processes.

  • Passion for product and modern design.

  • Proven understanding of the customer and sales processes with demonstrated customer and field interaction.

  • Full understanding of operations, production, supply management, and full value stream.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to investigate and analyze information to make recommendations for future action.

  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent responsibilities and work in a constantly changing environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while also meeting deadlines.

  • Outstanding leadership skills with proven creative problem-solving skills and the ability to lead through influence.

  • Demonstrated mentoring, people development, and leadership skills, including experience leading cross-functional teams through key projects or initiatives.

  • Leverage strong business and analytical acumen to make decisions, positioning DWR Collection and subsequently the overall brand for growth - from both a financial and assortment breadth perspective.

  • Think big and bold, identifying new business opportunities and demonstrating out-of-the-box thinking.

  • Ability to travel to review prototypes through development process.

  • Prior experience working in the furnishings industry preferred.
