Payroll Analyst We're seeking an experienced Payroll Analyst to elevate our Global Payroll operations with nextlevel support, analytics, and automation. You'll blend payroll expertise with a mindset for continuous improvement-obsessing over our internal customers, challenging assumptions, acting fast and learning fast, and partnering across teams to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant payroll at scale. About the Role In this opportunity as Payroll Analyst, you will:
- Resolve complex payroll queries for employees and stakeholders with clear, empathetic communication (English fluency required), putting customer needs first.
- Support U.S. payroll processing and partner with internal/external analysts, competing to win on accuracy, cycle time, and employee experience.
- Build metrics, dashboards, and stakeholder-ready presentations; leverage Excel/PowerPoint plus analytics tools to surface insights and drive decisions.
- Apply a thorough understanding of international assignees and crossborder payroll nuances.
- Reconcile thirdparty payments and perform endtoend variance/rootcause analysis; use automation where possible to prevent recurrence.
- Provide data for audits; strengthen controls and documentation to align with best practices, compliance, and SOX where applicable.
- Maintain and continuously improve payroll SOPs and knowledge assets; challenge (y)our thinking with facts, candor, and clarity.
- Contribute to special projects that advance process excellence, i.e. piloting AI/automation where it adds value.
- Partner with thirdparty providers to validate calculations (wages, withholdings, deductions) for domestic and international assignments.
- Review, reconcile, and sign off payrolls; collaborate closely with HR Operations, Benefits/Rewards, Payroll Accounting, and Corporate Tax-because we're stronger together.
About You You're a fit for the role of Payroll Analyst if your background includes:
- 3+ years in Payroll Operations, Tax Withholding/Filing, and Compliance/Regulatory, including multistate tax allocations.
- Education: minimum High School Diploma (some college and/or Payroll Certification preferred).
- Experience with Federal & State payroll tax laws; rigorous attention to detail and ownership mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to distill complexity into clear, actionoriented insights.
- Advanced Excel skills; strong PowerPoint or any other presentation application.
- Experience with Workday Payroll processing a plus; curiosity to learn and apply AI/automation to streamline processes and elevate the employee experience.
- Experience with analytics/automation tools such as Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, Alteryx, or similar a plus.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $72,100 - $133,900.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
