SUMMARY The candidate would be expected to perform duties as a Set-up or Floor Tech depending on business needs. Provide technical support for manufacturing equipment, machines, including robotics for Marshall. Position will include the expectation to perform general operator duties, material handler duties, and any other positions that management deems necessary. Robotic Welding and Robotic Material Handling support on new and existing Robotic applications. To help improve total labor efficiency in the manufacturing departments by improving robotic processes and solving problems that impact safety, quality, and cost. Work with the Tenneco Engineering & Maintenance teams to develop standard procedures for operation and TPM and teach manufacturing personnel proper set-up and operating methods where applicable. Assist in the implementation of new product releases and changes to existing product. Act as liaison between manufacturing and engineering for development and execution of projects. Must possess or will be required to develop a good understanding of the Tenneco Quality System and TS-16949 & ISO 2001 regulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The ability to write routine reports and correspondence and the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. While performing the required duties of this job the technician will be working in very tight spaces. It is necessary to work in an area with live energy to the robot while making changes to the robot program: running the robot through its motions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
