CLA is growing and seeking to hire an experienced to join our talented IT Tax - Business Relationship Manageron our Enterprise IT team. The position offers growth, flexibility and a collaborative work environment.

In this position you should have the following: responsibility for maintaining consultative and collaborative relationships with Tax service line leadership to understand and manage their strategic technology needs.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Relationship Manager to join our team. This is a new position within our organization, aimed at enhancing our stakeholder engagement and ensuring our technology strategies align with emerging needs. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in collaborating across IT and Digital teams, managing vendor relationships, and building partnerships with external firms.

How you'll create opportunities in this role:

  • Strong Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key Tax service line and technology stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Understanding and Anticipating Emerging Technology Needs: Stay informed about the latest technology trends and anticipate the needs of the organization to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Collaborating Across IT Teams: Work closely with other IT teams to strategize and execute initiatives that support the Tax service line goals.
  • Managing Existing Vendors: Oversee and manage relationships with existing vendors to ensure they meet the organization's standards and requirements, including participation in the contract renewal and negotiation processes.
  • Staying Informed About New Technologies in the Marketplace: Continuously monitor the marketplace for new technologies that could benefit the organization and provide recommendations for adoption.
  • Building Relationships with External Firms: Establish and nurture relationships with external firms to enhance the organization's capabilities and resources.

What you will need:

  • 7 years of Accounting and/or IT experience working with Tax software applications.
  • Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Technical Competencies

Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of stakeholder engagement and relationship management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments. Knowledge of the latest technology trends and their potential impact on the organization. Working knowledge of tax processes and software applications used to support them.
