What you will experience in this position: As a Machine Operator, you will support the operation of the Safan robotic press brake and rotate throughout the fabrication area performing additional duties and operating additional equipment as needed. Core responsibilities:
- Use computerized manufacturing technologies to guide the initial phase of the fabrication process for the department.
- Position production materials and tooling, ensuring exact dimensions according to print specifications.
- Operate and adjust various equipment, including controllers, and edit programs according to production documentation.
- Perform rotational assignments in fabrication including grinding, forming (press brake), welding and spot-welding, and other duties as assigned.
- Actively align with all relevant safety procedures, report any unsafe conditions or potential hazards.
- Inspect work to ensure products meet Hoffman quality standards and accurate dimensional requirements.
- Perform specified preventative maintenance procedures and assist with troubleshooting systems.
- Participate actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.
You have:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- 1 year of CNC manufacturing equipment experience preferred.
- 2+ years of production work experience preferred.
- Computer experience: Windows Word, Excel, Outlook, JD Edwards preferred
- Proven skills in analytical thinking and problem solving.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Ability to lift, slide, and shake heavy gauges of material.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstances and thrive in a constantly changing business environment.
Pay Transparency nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range: $22.86-$30.37
