As Senior Director of Systems and Software, you will lead the research, development, design, and optimization of McKesson's core commercial software platforms-Sanitas and Base. This includes overseeing technology and systems functions that support critical business processes and enterprise information systems. You'll be responsible for evaluating, selecting, and enhancing systems and applications, managing network infrastructure, and ensuring robust database performance.

In this role, you'll guide efforts to safeguard McKesson's data, tools, and technology assets, while ensuring infrastructure standards promote efficiency and platform compatibility. You'll apply deep subject matter expertise to align system capabilities with user needs, ensure seamless IT service delivery, and lead a high-performing team through talent development and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

• Lead Software Strategy & Execution
  Define and deliver the software product roadmap across multiple functions and teams. Build and manage a high-performing organization focused on innovation and delivery excellence.
• Executive Collaboration & Customer Focus
  Partner with internal stakeholders and customers to ensure technology solutions meet business needs and enhance user experience.
• Technology Vision & Budget Ownership
  Align technology strategy with McKesson's MAPS goals. Manage significant budgets and vendor relationships to support scalable growth.
• Implementation Leadership
  Oversee the rollout of new technologies, ensuring alignment with financial, operational, and security requirements.
• Innovation & Industry Awareness
  Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor technologies to ensure McKesson remains a leader in healthcare innovation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
• 13+ years of professional experience in software engineering or IT, and 6+ years in senior leadership roles with proven success in managing large-scale projects and teams

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
