Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategicData Center Origination Expertto lead the origination, structuring, and execution of power deals with hyperscale and enterprise data center clients. This role will be instrumental in driving growth in the digital infrastructure sector by developing tailored energy solutions that meet the unique needs of data centers, including renewable energy procurement, load shaping, and reliability enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

Origination & Relationship Management

• Identify and cultivate relationships with data center operators, developers, and hyperscale clients.
• Understand client energy needs, sustainability goals, and operational constraints to develop customized power solutions.
• Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for data center clients throughout the deal lifecycle.

Deal Structuring & Execution

• Structure innovative power supply agreements including retail power agreements and PPA's.
• Collaborate with internal teams (trading, legal, risk, engineering, and regulatory) to ensure deal viability and compliance.
• Lead negotiations and close transactions that align with company risk and return thresholds.

Market & Regulatory Intelligence

• Monitor trends in data center energy demand, sustainability targets, and regulatory developments.
• Provide strategic insights to internal stakeholders on market dynamics and competitive positioning.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with development, finance, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery of energy solutions.
• Support the development of new products and services tailored to the data center segment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in data center industry, preferably with exposure to hyperscale data centers or large-load customers.
• Deep understanding of power markets, renewable energy products, and commercial deal structuring.
• Proven track record of closing complex energy transactions.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and partners.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working with hyperscale cloud providers or colocation data centers.
• Familiarity with ERCOT, PJM, CAISO, or other U.S. power markets.
• Knowledge of carbon accounting, sustainability frameworks, and energy storage technologies.
