Position Summary: The Labor Planning Analyst uses data analysis and forecasting to help plan and manage the Pep Boys workforce efficiently and effectively, ensuring the right number of team members at the right time with the skills required to meet strategic and operational goals. They will analyze workforce data to ensure efficient operations, forecast labor supply and demand, develop weekly, monthly and fiscal labor budgets, and create reports for senior management to support decision-making. Duties & Responsibilities
- Data Analysis and Forecasting: Analyzing workforce trends, skills, and future demands to predict staffing needs.
- Strategic Planning: Developing strategies for workforce planning that align with the organization's business objectives and long-term goals.
- Reporting and Insights: Creating reports, dashboards, and presentations using data visualization to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Working with various departments, such as HR, finance, and operations, to gather data and support workforce planning initiatives.
- Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing improvements to internal processes, such as hiring, scheduling, and time and attendance systems.
Experience and Credentials
- A bachelor's degree in a related field such as business management, finance, or human resources is often required.
- Relevant experience in workforce planning, human resources, finance, or labor management is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Interpret complex data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Domo. Knowledge of workforce management software.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to present findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership.
- Attention to Detail: Crucial for ensuring data accuracy and integrity in reports and plans.
- Time Management: Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Frequent use of hands for typing, writing, and handling paperwork.
