- We need a maintenance technician to help maintain our production equipment.
- Our production equipment mainly consists of CNC machine punches/breaks, ovens, wash tanks, and powder paint booths.
- In addition, there are some conveyors and roller tables.
- The candidate does not have to know CNC machines upon starting with the client but does need to.
- Performs work involving mechanical, plumbing, welding, and electrical trades to keep machinery, equipment, tools, and plant structure in repair.
- Electrical Qualified to work in a control panel.
- Operates tools and equipment common to mechanical, plumbing, welding, and electrical trades.
- Troubleshot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems to identify symptoms or malfunctions.
- Reads technical manuals, blueprints, control logic diagrams, and schematics to understand complex equipment and controls as necessary.
- Analyses test results, machine error messages, and machine operator feedback to determine and execute corrective actions.
- Adjusts and calibrates equipment, machines, and tools according to specifications.
- Examines mechanisms for modes of failure and damages (breakage, excessive wear).
- Installs/replaces parts and attachments according to specifications.
- Repairs broken or malfunctioning parts.
- Properly discards tools/ machine parts no longer serviceable.
- Performs preventive maintenance (cleaning, lubricating, adjusting parts) on machines, equipment, and tools; per specification and PM Checklists.
- Collaborates in the assembly, dismantling, and rigging of machinery.
- Reviews blueprints, building codes, and specifications to determine work details and procedures.
- Assembles pipes, sections, tubing and fittings.
- Installs, connects, tests, and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
- Joins metal components or other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques.
- Washes, cleans, sharpens, calibrates, and repairs tools (pulse and air tools, dies, punches).
- Plans the ordering of machine parts and tools.
- Issues and exchanges tools for manufacturing workers.
- Upkeeps maintenance records (issued tools, preventive maintenance, event logs, work requests).
- Cleans and maintains equipment and work area to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions.
- Reacts to anger, frustration, and disappointment constructively (finding humour in situations, finding solutions to problems, using relaxation techniques).
- Looking for a technician or mechanic who should be well-versed in pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Qualified to go into electrical panels.
- Performs other work as directed by Supervision.

Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Associate Degree.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, machine mechanics, and electrical 480 V - 3 phase and electrical controls.
- Minimum 4 years of facility, but they need to have machine experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in pipe-fitting.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance work in a type of environment with an emphasis on industrial electrical controls.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Have a good industrial maintenance background to troubleshoot and maintain equipment effectively.
- Licensed Electrician or Electrician Journeyman.
- Industrial maintenance environment working with 480V/3-phase power.
- Shop math, blueprint and schematic reading, PLC, control logic, and mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and welding concepts.
- Troubleshooting, use of mechanical/electrical/measuring tools, and intermediate computer skills.
- Able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language.
- Ability to promote and ensure a safe work environment; identifies, communicates, and eliminates hazards encountered during the regular course of work.
- Focused on meeting or exceeding the level of excellence of products, services, and work activities-measured against pre-set standards, able to identify flaws and take corrective action.

Additional Information:

- Able to reach, grasp, lift 50 lbs, and push/pull/slide heavy material.
- Able to make coordinated movements of the hands and arms to grasp and move objects.
- Able to stoop, bend, squat, crawl, and climb.
- Job involves typically working indoors, being assigned to any of the different shifts; occasionally lifting heavy materials, wearing common safety equipment (cut-resistant gloves and sleeves, apron, safety shoes, safety glasses, earplugs) and being exposed to loud noises, heat, confined spaces, and the possibility of bumps, cuts, and scrapes.
