JOB SUMMARY
- The Final Status Survey (FSS)Enterprise Architect will serve as the principal architect and ongoing lead for implementation of fleetwide IT software and hardware upgrades to automate manual FSS processes and improve overall efficiency and data accuracy.
- This role is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the IT suite of tools supporting MARSSIM-compliant Final Status Surveys and radiological decommissioning operations. The Enterprise Architect will also provide strategic direction for the platform's long-term growth and expanding its capabilities into advanced analytics, workflow automation, and enterprise integration.
JOB DUTIES/TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES
Architecture & Development
- Lead the ongoing development and architecture of the NuclideFlow Engine.
- Oversee the full software lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
- Ensure that the platform remains compliant with MARSSIM/FSS standards and regulatory expectations.
Integration & Compliance
- Design and implement solutions that unify field survey data, laboratory results, and QA/QC workflows into a centralized enterprise system.
- Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams to ensure secure, scalable deployments in both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Support integration of NuclideFlow with enterprise reporting, project management, and compliance systems.
Operational Support
- Act as the technical point of contact for NuclideFlow, providing updates, enhancements, and support.
- Develop dashboards, reporting pipelines, and data visualization tools for stakeholders across operations, regulatory bodies, and executive leadership.
- Partner with V&V and QA teams to ensure data integrity and audit readiness.
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute a long-term roadmap for NuclideFlow, expanding its role as a core enterprise platform.
- Mentor technical staff and help build a dedicated development/support team.
- Promote a culture of innovation, compliance, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Required
- Significant demonstrated experience in enterprise architecture, software development, and system integration.
- Proven knowledge of Final Status Survey (FSS) and MARSSIM-compliant processes.
- Strong background in database design, data pipelines, and enterprise reporting systems.
- Ability to independently build and maintain mission-critical software platforms.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred
- Hands-on experience with gamma spectroscopy systems and radiological survey data workflows.
- Familiarity with cloud-native architectures (AWS/Azure), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and workflow automation.
- Experience mentoring or leading technical staff.
- Knowledge of enterprise cybersecurity and regulatory compliance requirements.
