Hourly Pay Range:

$21.08 - $31.62 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Administrative Assistant I

  • Location: Chicago, IL

  • Full Time, 40 hours

  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm, rotating weekends

  • Required Travel: none

A Brief Summary:

Performs all front desk duties including cordially greeting and receiving patients and visitors, registering patients ascertains their needs and appropriately directs patients, visitors, and callers. Answers phones, takes phone messages and responds to general patient and visitor requests. Provides outstanding customer service and satisfaction ensuring all patients and visitors feel welcome. Assures patients receive easy and convenient access to the services they need in a friendly, efficient manner.

What you will do:

  • Welcomes patients and visitors promptly and ascertains and meets their needs efficiently.

  • Utilizes appropriate telephone etiquette and procedures when placing, receiving, and transferring calls. Ascertains and meets caller's needs in accordance with department standards.

  • Provides requested information or actions promptly and pleasantly.

  • Completes patient registration on all patients

  • Responsible for maintaining patient records.

  • Performs general support functions for practice, support staff, and clinical staff

  • Directs all incoming and outgoing mail.

  • Receives deliveries of office supplies and equipment.

  • Maintains a clean, neat, and professional work environment.

  • Prepare and monitor stock of cardiac monitors (30-Day Event and ZIO Patch).

  • Assists with Pacemaker Clinic duties

  • Schedules future pacemaker check appointments.

  • Sends follow-up letters and documents in charts of No Show patients.

What you will need:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.

  • Medical terminology preferred.

  • Good use of written and spoken English language and telephone etiquette.

  • Simple math skills.

  • Able to learn quickly.

  • Previous skill in use of computer, fax, copies, office machines.

  • Good team player.

  • Able to handle multiple tasks at once in the midst of a busy office atmosphere.

  • 2+ years of experience as an Administrative Secretary, or similar, preferred
