Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Night Shift PCB Inspector & Rework Technician with hand soldering expertise to join our team. This role is vital to ensuring the quality and reliability of our printed circuit boards (PCBs) through meticulous inspection, rework, and repair.

Essential Functions

  • Operate Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) machines to detect defects such as scratches, missing components, incorrect placements, and other anomalies on PCBs
  • Perform manual rework and repairs on PCBs per IPC standards, including hand soldering and component replacements
  • Conduct detailed visual inspections, document findings, and ensure defect correction
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to resolve issues and improve inspection processes
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection results, defects, and rework activities
  • Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of AOI equipment to ensure peak performance
  • Ensure all inspected PCBs meet quality standards, customer specifications, and company requirements
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of quality
  • Prioritize tasks efficiently and adapt quickly to changing priorities throughout the workday.

  • Complete additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Competencies

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven hands-on experience in manufacturing, electronics, or related fields
  • Skilled in hand soldering to IPC standards
  • Experience operating AOI equipment is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Excellent communication skills and team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work physically demanding shifts, including standing, bending, lifting over 50 pounds, and working in a loud environment
  • Willingness to work night shifts (Sunday-Wednesday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM; Wednesday 6:00 PM - 12:30 AM) with overtime as needed

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Work Environment

  • Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, mechanical parts, and loud noise
  • Physical activity including standing, walking, bending, crouching, and lifting over 50 pounds
  • Visual requirements include close, peripheral, color, and depth perception

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position
Standard Schedule: Sunday - Tuesday 6:00PM-6:00AM. Wednesday-6:00PM-12:30AM
Overtime Schedule: Sunday - Wednesday 6:00PM-6:00AM

Travel

Minimal to no travel required.

Required Education and Experience

  1. Minimum of a high school education.

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Manufacturing/industry experience.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
