Structural Engineering Group Manager - North Carolina Division

As our North Carolina Structural Engineering Group Manager, you'll guide a talented team delivering transformative projects that strengthen connections, improve safety, and enhance the everyday lives of people across the state and the Southeast.

This hybrid position offers flexibility to balance in-office collaboration at our Raleigh office with remote work.

Our North Carolina Division is proud to lead high-impact projects that demonstrate the depth and diversity of our expertise:



  • NCDOT I-40 CMGC - Delivering complex, high-value improvements along one of the state's busiest corridors through innovative CMGC collaboration
  • City of Raleigh - Neuse River Project - Advancing resilient infrastructure along the Neuse River to support sustainable community growth
  • North Carolina State University - Cates West Development - Providing structural engineering for a transformative campus expansion that supports NCSU's academic and research mission
  • New Hanover County - South College Road Multi-Use Path (MUP) - Enhancing connectivity and safety through innovative multimodal design solutions
  • Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools - Ongoing School Projects - Strengthening educational infrastructure through long-term collaboration on new and renovated school facilities
  • Mecklenburg County Park & Recreation - Various Projects - Designing and rehabilitating parks and community facilities that enhance quality of life across the county


The Impact You'll Make

In this leadership role, you'll have the opportunity to make a direct, lasting impact on both people and places:



  • Lead and grow the North Carolina Structural Engineering Group, overseeing bridge and structural design, inspection, and rehabilitation services
  • Deliver excellence by managing multi-office project teams-ensuring the right people, budgets, and schedules align for successful outcomes
  • Shape the future of our regional practice by driving strategic growth initiatives and expanding bridge and structural design services throughout North Carolina and the Southeast
  • Build and strengthen relationships with clients, industry partners, and professional organizations to position Benesch as a trusted leader in infrastructure
  • Identify and pursue opportunities that align with our long-term goals and help shape the region's infrastructure landscape
  • Collaborate and innovate as part of the Southeast regional leadership team to expand our market presence
  • Inspire and mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering their professional growth and supporting a culture of technical excellence and collaboration
