JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently looking for an Applications-focused Project Manager with excellent leadership and communication skills to support a large program within a government agency.

Qualified candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, Green Card Holder, or EAD holder and have or be able to attain a Public Trust Level 6(c) clearance, with the ability to attend occasional client-site meetings.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the planning and execution of large-scale federal health IT projects, overseeing all project stages and assessing business implications at each phase.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and technical teams, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide strategic direction and technical/management leadership on major project tasks and technology assignments.
  • Establish clear goals, plans, and performance metrics to ensure project objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Drive performance with proactive and results-oriented leadership to meet or exceed project goals.
  • Exercise financial oversight, resource management, and staffing to ensure project requirements are fulfilled within budgetary constraints.
  • Engage in client communications and interface with senior management, demonstrating strong decision-making skills and domain expertise.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, while driving continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Proven track record of successful program execution with 10+ years of experience, including at least 4 years of direct project management experience leading large teams (50 staff members).
  • PMP Certification and extensive experience as a Scrum Master/Certified Scrum Master.
  • Demonstrated expertise in quality control, continuous improvement initiatives, and Agile Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong background in managing IT project risks, resources, scope, schedule, and cost.
  • Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field required.
