SUMMARY

Nuttall Gear Inc/ Regal Rexnord is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with Electrician experience to support the shutdown of an operating heavy manufacturing facility in Niagara Falls New York. This is a temporary, hourly position focused on safely decommissioning electrical systems and equipment in preparation for facility closure.

* Hourly Rate: $26 - 31.63/hour depending on experience
* Schedule: First shift, OT including some nights and weekends
* Duration: Project-based, expected 6-20 weeks
* Location: On-site at operating facility

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties/responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • High level of initiative required by individual.
  • Maintain a neat and clean work area.
  • Safely disconnect and de-energize electrical systems and machinery.
  • Perform lockout/tagout procedures in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Inspect and document electrical components prior to removal.
  • Assist in the removal and disposal of electrical equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to execute shutdown plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental standards during shutdown activities.

Qualifications and Critical Competencies

Nuttall Gear, LLC is required to comply with ITAR (International Trade in Arms Regulations). Therefore, successful candidates for this position must have an unrestricted right to work in the U.S. and not require visa sponsorship either now or in the future.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Team oriented - willing to work as a
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial or heavy manufacturing environments.
  • Minimum 2 years electrical experience
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and safety protocols.
  • Experience with facility shutdowns or decommissioning preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Education

  • High School diploma or GED equivalency is required
  • Completion of electrical systems course through an accredited institution

Lifting requirements include but not limited to the following:
Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, beyond 50 pounds with assist only.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to an industrial environment including moving mechanical parts. Personal protective safety equipment must be worn and proper safety precautions must be observed. Potential exposure may include, but is not limited to: solvents, dusts, lead, noise, heat, cold.
