Maintenance Technician, Greensboro, NC

1st Shift, Monday-Thursday 4:30am-3:00pm. Overtime: Monday-Thursday 4:30am-3:00pm & Friday 4:30am-1:30pm, Some Saturdays will be required.

Pay: $30.00-$33.00 per hour based on skills and experience.

As aMaintenance Technicianyou will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. Your work will directly affect people's lives!

Primary Responsibilities

• Determining and performing required maintenance (cleaning, lubricating, aligning/adjusting parts, calibrating, etc.).
• Testing, troubleshooting, and repairing machines and equipment and ordering/installing replacement parts.
• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical).
• Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield.
• Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance).
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems.
• Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures.
• Driving forklifts and utilizing man lifts.
• Using shop equipment such as lathes, mills, drill presses, and welders to fabricate/modify parts and equipment.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day.
• Must be safety focused
• Must understand Maintenance terminology and shop practices
• Ability to read/understand electrical schematics
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment without supervision
• Ability to read/understand mechanical drawings
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform mechanical repairs without supervision
• Ability to use computer programs to track work orders to completion
• Deep understanding of preventive maintenance principles and ability to apply those principles
• Experience with Allen Bradley PLC's and VFD's
• Experience with ABB VFD's
• Experience with RS Logix and Idec
• Experience with Siemens
• Ability to work overtime on weekends
• 7-10 years of Industrial Maintenance experience required
