Student Campus Ministry Assistant


Position Overview: Student Campus Ministry Assistants do a variety of tasks with CSP Ministry, including running the sound board and tech for chapel services, hospitality for those attending, social media tasks, keeping the chapel building ready for chapel activities, livestream, helping with set up and take down for 10 chapel services per week.


Essential Duties:


  • Generally assist: Chapel Student Workers check-in with the CSP Ministry Staff to prepare and conduct daily chapel. Touch base daily with staff to attend to the needs of the day from straightening chapel chairs to holding doors, lighting candles and lights, attending to any needs that come up during chapel, and help reset the building for the next event.
  • Hospitality: Chapel Student Workers prepare snacks and treats for daily chapel, clean up after chapel, be a welcoming presence for attendees.
  • Tech: Chapel Student Workers check batteries in all mics, help set up for bands, organist, guest pastors and other guests, attend to social media tasks, run sound, slides, and livestream for chapel, prepare for the services and help clean up and reset daily for the next chapel services.


Work Experience:


  • Some experience in how churches function on a daily basis.
  • Familiarity with LCMS terms and doctrine.


To be eligible to be a CSP student employee, one must:


  • Be enrolled and registered as a CSP student (PSEO students are not eligible).
  • Have a United States social security number.*
  • Have proper identification as determined by Form I-9.
  • Be in good standing with CSP academic requirements and student accounts.
  • Must have declared a major at CSP.
  • For summer employment, priority will be given to the student employees who are enrolled and registered in summer courses.

Pay Range: $15.97 per hour
