Job Summary

The Loudoun County Department of General Services (DGS) is currently seeking qualified applicants for a Facility Warehouse Supervisor vacancy. This newly created position will oversee the operations of the Facility Warehouse.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Managing warehouse inventory control, using Inventory Management Software System
* Managing routine orders and deliveries - places equipment orders via purchase order; receives orders and deliveries; checks items into the computer inventory control system.
* Managing large project-related material control purchase orders for the Facility Maintenance Operations Divisions. Works with DGS Budget & Procurement staff to reconcile against consolidated invoices.
* Overseeing orders for technicians - prepares orders, coordinates with technicians and Inventory Clerk for pre-arranged work order material packages.
* Overseeing equipment and supply deliveries to technicians in the field - coordinates with warehouse staff, technicians, and building engineers to deliver equipment and supplies to job sites; sets aside supplies for specific recurring projects and critical stock for easy emergency check-out for on-call technicians; makes deliveries to the field as needed.
* Supervising warehouse staff - supervises the Facility Warehouse Inventory Clerk, including assigning daily tasks and performance appraisals.
* Managing a technician tool and equipment exchange program.
* Managing the tool cage and portable equipment asset check-in/check-out system to support in-house technicians performing temporary projects.
* Managing satellite stock rooms in addition to facility warehouses.
* Coordinating with DGS Surplus to ensure proper disposal of assets no longer needed.

Salary commensurate with experience.




Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; three (3) years of related work experience with some lead or supervisory experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The following are highly preferred qualifications:
* Inventory Management software experience (WASP or other system)
* Invoicing and PCard consolidation experience
* MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
* Understanding of MSDS/Hazardous Materials storage and disposal
* Bilingual language skills
* Knowledge of trailers, hydraulic liftgates, and load hauling/securing


Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Successful candidates will undergo pre-employment criminal, credit, and DMV record background checks, to include Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprinting.

Valid driver's license and good driving record are required (driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification).

Hold or obtain a Lift Truck (Forklift) Operator certification. Must be able to work in extreme temperatures and lift up to 70 lbs. This position is considered "essential."
