Job Description:

FormFactor is seeking an experienced Commodity Buyer to join our team in Farmers Branch. This strategic role will be responsible for sourcing and managing high-value goods, services, and capital equipment essential to our manufacturing and operations.
This position will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and facilities teams to ensure cost-efficiency, quality, and timely delivery. This is a high-impact position with a strong focus on supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and performance monitoring.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Responsible for purchasing and managing the supply of goods, services, and high-value, long-term assets like specialized equipment essential for sites manufacturing and operations.
*Strong emphasis on supplier evaluation and negotiation, contract management, and cost analysis to ensure purchases align with budget and operational needs.
*Develop and execute strategies for acquiring high-value equipment, services and other goods.
*Lead and support negotiations for price, timing, and deliverables ensuring the best value for the organization.
*Collaborate with engineering, finance, facilities and other teams to understand specifications, assess technical requirements and ensure alignment with company goals.
*Administer the full purchase order lifecycle including issuing, reconciling and resolving issues with suppliers.
*Monitor supplier performance, gather metrics, and resolve disputes to ensure optimal outcomes.
*Travel may be required (local, domestic, and international).

Education & Experience:

Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience| Required
