Overview

Edgewater Federal Solutions is currently seeking an experienced and qualified VoIP Network Engineer to oversee the installation and management of our VoIP network. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and deploying enterprise solution architecture, coordinating installations and migrations, and managing SLAs for IP telephony applications. You may also be required to troubleshoot LAN and WAN hardware systems and respond to customer inquiries.

To ensure success as a VoIP network engineer, you should have advanced knowledge of VoIP networking systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and knowledge of internet security. A top-class VoIP network engineer will be able to design and deploy the perfect networking system to meet the current and future networking needs of our company.

As a VoIP Engineer, you will help review options and make recommendations on the future of VoIP for the client, as well as help to accelerate configuration, deployment and cut-over of the future VoIP and Contact Center applications, allowing for distribution of effort across voice engineers.



Responsibilities

    Collaboration with program engineering teams on voice system strategies looking towards the future of voice and supporting our cloud migration.

  • Day-to-day management of a Cisco CUCM and UCCX environment, supporting 4 staffed contact centers and multiple menu routing applications

  • Administration and management of Finesse and UWM platforms

  • Migration to a Cloud first posture

  • Supporting integrations between On-prem CUCM, WebEx calling, MSFT Teams and on-prem Cisco VTC rooms.

  • Coordinate and participate in planned maintenance activities to ensure voice systems are properly implemented and maintained according to best practices with minimal impact to the business

  • Coordinate with the team to develop and maintain proper processes, procedures, security, and system documentation according to industry best practices and government regulatory requirements

  • Help evaluate new technologies and solutions to enhance the voice environment to serve strategic and tactical business objectives



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 10+ years' experience in Information Technology

  • U.S. Citizenship is required per contract to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
  • 3+ years of advanced experience involving Cisco UC design , deployment, configuration and optimization

  • Deep understanding of VoIP in the enterprise and working with carrier SIP trunking.

  • Expert in MGCP and SIP gateway configuration

  • Expert w/Cisco UC and UCCX, including, CUBE, Finesse, UWM, and Calabrio Recording

  • Experience with Cisco's UC cloud solutions, WebEx and WebEx Calling

  • Familiarity with Management of Cisco WebEx Calling via Cisco Control Hub

  • Experience with MSFT Teams, Teams voice and integrated endpoints

  • Experience with SIP gateways, such as Cisco CUBE and AdTran

  • Familiarity with networking

  • Expert troubleshooting skills

  • Federal IT regulatory compliance experience

  • Exceptional work ethic and time management skills

  • Ability to work well both independently and part of a team

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to customer service

  • Able to engage face to face w/clients (professional appearance for video meetings)

  • Experience preparing technical documentation, including Visio diagrams and written SOP and systems documentation.

  • Expert troubleshooting skills

  • Experience with:

    • PowerShell scripting

    • Python

Desired:

  • Cisco CUBE hands-on experience
  • CCNA, CCNP in networking and/ or voice exp.
  • MSFT Teams certifications such as MS-700 or MS-721
  • Network (route/switch) experience
  • MSFT Teams voice/calling administration experience
  • MSFT Teams administration

Salary: $115,000 - $127,000
