General Job Description:

Reporting to the VP of IT, the Sr Manager of Enterprise Financial Systems is responsible for successfully aligning Corporate IT initiatives with Business Goals. The Senior Manager will lead a team of staff and consultants to oversee JDE and financial reporting initiatives. This leadership position requires excellent verbal and written skills. As a Senior Manager, this role is expected to work independently and provide consistent written communications for both IT Leadership and stakeholders. This role must think tactically and strategically and propose projects and delivery solutions that fit within corporate objectives. Other main areas of responsibility are managing Cyber Risk, partnering with other systems teams, and influencing prioritization of efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities):

May include, but not limited to the following:



  • Works well independently and has the communication skills to ensure all stakeholders understand and agree to the prioritization of effort.
  • Mitigates risk on cyber and the platform. Performs activities such as DR consistently.
  • Manages staff, consultants to ensure their efforts are focused on the most important priorities.
  • Provides documentation on complex initiatives when needed so issues and prioritizations are understood.
  • Promotes best practices in systems implementation in Consulting, IT and the business teams.
  • Mentors all Business Analysts, System Analysts and Developers in enterprise best practices.
  • Works directly with business leaders, managers, and users to gain a full understanding of issues as well as possible alternatives.
  • Formalizes proposed change(s) to address the limitations of current practices. Define requirements and scope.
  • Research alternatives that are in line with corporate objectives, particularly if the software is to be purchased or developed in-house or with external consultants.
  • Be a leader in promoting and preparing documentation including Charters, Business Requirements, ROI Analysis, Deployment Forms, User Documentation and Project Planning.


Position Requirements (Skills, Knowledge, Abilities):



  • Proficiency in JD Edwards (JDE) required.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new business teams. This includes leadership in acquisitions.
  • Understands and demonstrates appropriate discretion with sensitive information.
  • BS degree in Information Systems, Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of successful experience in working with senior business managers.
  • Able to communicate effectively with all necessary parties throughout the project planning process.
  • Ability to manage resources within the project schedules and budgets.
  • Able to effectively lead and hold teams accountable. This includes but is not limited to acknowledging team member contribution, mentoring team members, and resolving conflicts.
  • Possesses understanding in the areas of application programming, database, and system design. Stays current with application best practices.
  • Able to demonstrate customer service skills.
  • Leadership certification(s).
  • Project management skills and experience with software tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Project Libre)
  • Risk analysis training
  • Vendor and resource account management and negotiation
  • Experience in Fortune 100 companies and smaller startup companies.

  • The employee may regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

  • The employee is occasionally required to reach above shoulder height to access storage cabinets and mail cubicles.
  • Hours: This is an exempt position. Workdays are scheduled from Monday through Friday. Typically, work hours begin and end between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm as scheduled with the position's supervisor.


Travel: 0 -5% of the time to and from the primary office to regional branch offices.

Competitive Wages:
$180,000 to $210,000 Annual Salary. Applicants please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
