Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with various internal partners to determine and model the pricing structure that will be offered to our clients, both renewals and new business
  • Leverage business knowledge to propose solutions to unique business problems regularly in a dynamic work environment
  • Build and maintain financial models to assist in the evaluation of client savings and OptumRx profit margins which is involved with competitive RFP work, as well as market checks, and ongoing ad hoc financial analysis for our clients
  • Evaluate and recommend alternative pricing options based on market analyses and trends
  • Assess the risk of pricing guarantees offered and communicate such risks to pricing leadership
  • Collaborate with the Sales, Proposals and Legal teams to project pricing and profit for a range of services and products the company offers
  • Gather, summarize and analyze detailed data in a variety of formats
  • Validate renewal and prospect RFP's for underwriting accuracy
  • Work on large cases and present pricing recommendations to executive management as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant financial analysis or accounting experience
  • Progressive financial work experience
  • Intermediate skills in MS Excel, MS Office product suite, and other technology tools
  • Proven ability to work in a matrix environment while positively influencing other functional areas

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven solid financial, analytical, and business acumen
  • Proven to generate innovative approaches and solutions to business opportunities
  • Proven solid interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to build solid interdepartmental relationships

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
