Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Fire System Inspector to join our security business unit.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Perform inspections and functional testing of fire protection systems, including but not limited to:

    • Fire alarm systems
    • Testing and Compliance
    • Acceptance Testing
    • Reporting


  • Document all testing results, deficiencies, and repairs in accordance with NFPA standards and company protocols.
  • Generate clear and accurate inspection reports using company-provided software or tools.
  • Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions to bring systems into compliance.
  • Communicate findings to clients and recommend solutions or next steps.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local codes and standards, particularly NFPA 72.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good working order.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and protocols.


Basic Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or trade school preferred
  • 2+ years of experience (preferred) in fire system inspection, testing, or a related field
  • NICET (preferred) certification in Inspection & Testing of Fire Alarm Systems and/or Water-Based Systems preferred
  • Knowledge of applicable NFPA codes and standards
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively


Preferred Qualifications:


  • NICET Level I or II
  • OSHA 10 or 30
  • State-specific fire alarm or sprinkler licenses (if applicable)


Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces
  • Capable of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods
