Requisition ID req34821 Working Title HR Tech Position Grade 10 Position Summary As a nationally accredited program with strong educational component in The University of New Mexico School of Medicine, the Office of the Medical Investigator (OMI) in Albuquerque is the medical examiner for the state of New Mexico. OMI investigates any death occurring in New Mexico where a person is found dead and the cause of death is unknown. The OMI, which is a special program within the UNM Health Sciences Department of Pathology, determines the cause and manner of death in these cases.OMI is a 24/7 facility that supports employees, citizens and visitors for the State of New Mexico and beyond. Our NAME Accreditation is one earned through collaborative, innovative practices, a dedicated team with the support of UNM, the State of New Mexico, and many grants. The HR team at OMI liaises between many UNM, community and interdepartmental teams to serve those who investigate deaths to serve the living. Our work will improve health, safety and justice in New Mexico.This position will require a driven, task oriented person to support HR Operations at OMI. The HR Tech will support OMI's dynamic and unique workforce of just over 200 employees. This is a highly transactional role to support hiring and recruitment, processing staffing changes, assist with reporting, records management and technical aspects of HR initiatives. The ideal person for this role is one that is driven, diplomatic, technically inclined, organized, solid time management, has sound ethics, strong communicator, is solutions oriented, and can work well independently as well as within a team, maintaining confidentiality at all times. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications
