Title: Manufacturing Leader - Chlorine
Location: McIntosh, AL

Salary: $117,000 - $150,000
Schedule: 5/8's or 9/80's

Focus: The Manufacturing Leader is responsible for orchestrating and optimizing every aspect of the Chlorine Department while leading a dedicated operations team to success.

Manufacturing Leader Essential Responsibilities:

  • Champion safety and operational excellence by following and enforcing all plant procedures and EHS regulations.
  • Monitor and optimize production processes to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Partner with Maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly and reliably.
  • Lead engaging safety meetings that keep our team informed and inspired.
  • Keep a close eye on quality metrics and make real-time decisions to maintain top-tier standards.
  • Manage area budgets and spending with a sharp eye for cost control.
  • Provide meanintful feedback and growth opportunities to team members.
  • Evaluate staffing needs and recommend smart changes to keep operations running and peak performance.
  • Review and refine operating procedures to ensure they're always accurate, effective, and up to date.

Manufacturing Leader Minimum Requirements:

  • Must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
    • High school diploma/equivalent with 10+ years manufacturing experience (chemicals industry preferred); OR
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2+ years of manufacturing experience (chemicals industry preferred)
  • Knowledgeable of federal, state, and local environmental and workplace standards as they apply to operating areas, including OSHA, EPA, USCG, DOT, ADEM.
  • Must meet the physical requirements including, but not limited to, climbing stairs and ladders.
  • Must be able to pass fit test for full and half face respirators.
  • Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be action-oriented, customer focused, able to direct and motivate others, set priorities, problem solve, and make quality decisions in a timely manner.
  • Must be available for on-call as required.
  • Must have basic computer skills including MS Office; SAP knowledge preferred.
  • Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license
