Critical Environment Lead Engineer (3rd Shift)

What this job involves:

The Critical Environment Lead Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the Critical Environments Preventive Maintenance Program is properly implemented and maintained at all clients designated Critical Facilities located in their respective region. The position will require a strong focus on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment on all systems. Additionally, this individual will be managing the 3rd shift engineers to ensure all preventive maintenances are completed in a timely manner, assist in developing facilities operating procedures as needed, perform vendor management, and monitor training programs.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Execute advanced system operations for all mechanical and electrical systems in critical environments.

  • Perform daily inspections and rounds, reviewing and logging all equipment dedicated to critical infrastructure.

  • Complete corrective and preventative maintenance work orders through the Computer Management Maintenance System (CMMS).

  • Respond to alarms and abnormal conditions in critical areas when alerted by Building Management System (BMS), clients, or facility personnel.

  • Support execution of maintenance and project activities, supervising projects as needed.

  • Create detailed incident reports and implement emergency response protocols when necessary.

  • Enforce Critical Environments Change Control Process requirements and facility housekeeping standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of commercial or industrial building systems and critical infrastructure operations.

  • Technical school education or military training in relevant systems.

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs and work order systems.

  • Capability to work independently during overnight shifts and respond to emergency situations.

  • Understanding of safety protocols and willingness to participate in ongoing safety training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Computer Management Maintenance Systems (CMMS).

  • Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and alarm response protocols.

  • Background in project management or coordination activities.

  • Knowledge of change control processes in critical environments.

  • Experience working with service contractors and scope development.

  • Previous experience in 24/7 critical facility operations.

Work Shift:

3rd Shift, 11pm to 9am

Rotating schedule: 8 days on, 6 days off

Location:

On-site -Charlotte, NC
