OverviewThe Silver Messaging team empowers developers and enterprises to build reliable, scalable, and event-driven applications by delivering secure, high-performance messaging services that connect systems and data seamlessly across the public sector Azure cloud.As a Software Engineer in the team, you will provide critical support of the Azure Messaging services for our public sector customers. This will include providing incident support response, ensure the services are updated regularly, maintained properly, and in a healthy operational state. Also included will be adding capabilities to the service as requested by our internal and external customers. This opportunity will allow you to learn how cloud scale software is built and maintained, gain expertise in massive scaling of services, and become part of the largest software development organization in the world. ResponsibilitiesWorks with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a set of features.Contributes to the identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product area.Creates and implements code for a product, service, or feature, reusing code as applicable.Contributes to efforts to break down larger work items into smaller work items and provides estimation.Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) working on-call to monitor system/product feature/service fordegradation, downtime, or interruptions and gains approval to restore system/product/service for simple problems.Remains current in skills by investing time and effort into staying abreast of current developments that will improvethe availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale. |
