About the team:

As part of our Finance team, you will work with Senior Leaders cross-functionally on all procurement matters.

About the role:

As Procurement Director, you will lead the procurement functionfor our technology focused business working with external vendors and assisting internal customers in the procurement process to optimize vendor spend and achieve corporate objectives.

This role is essential for achieving key business objectives by strategically managing vendor contracts, vendor spend, and directly impacting profitability.

Once hired, you will:



  • Execute against the strategy and annual plan including:


    • business priorities
    • new and renewal contracts
    • improvement areas for key vendors
    • process improvements
    • achieve savings targets
    • Analyze, monitor and track contract performance


  • Develop full procurement process, including ownership of our vendor management system, and monitor compliance


As you progress in the role, you will:



  • Proactively evaluate and confirm vendor requirements, including volume requirements
  • Negotiate directly or assist in negotiating contract terms with vendors
  • Ensure contracts are obtained and properly archived in the contract repository


Required:



  • Technology (software/SAAS contracts) focused procurement within an organization
  • Strong collaboration skills with internal stakeholders across departments
  • Strong financial analysis and reporting skills
  • Vendor negotiations (direct or indirect)
  • Strategic procurement
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills


Preferred:



  • 5+ years of experience in procurement
  • Experience working within a vendor management system (i.e. Terzo)
  • Experience in technology procurement including consulting, strategic sourcing, analysis, and/or contract negotiation

Des Moines pay range: Base salary/pay per year, plus 10% annual bonus at 100% of plan targets tied to company and individual performance. Offer will depend on location and level of job-related knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
