Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting public transit operations in a dynamic government location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and maintain a strong, visible presence. Pay Rate: $27.01 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and sound judgment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and report any concerns according to established protocols.
• Maintain a visible security-related presence to help to deter potential issues within the location.
• Carry and maintain control of an assigned firearm in accordance with company policies and state regulations while on duty.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or patrons as needed.
• Complete required reports and documentation related to security-related incidents and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Hold a valid armed guard card or license as required by law.
• Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
