What You'll Do:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for executing the production schedules and processes for manufacturing to ensure that effective and efficient production flow is maintained. This position ensures that employee performance is adhered to within the manufacturing department and that the Company's safety, quality, cost and delivery objectives are being met. The Production Supervisor implements continuous improvement activities in their areas and directly supervises Production Department Leads with emphasis on continuous improvement of processes and training.
- Production & Scheduling: Manages production schedules, prioritizes tasks, monitors progress, revises plans, and resolves operational issues to meet production goals.
- Continuous Improvement & Lean: Leads shift meetings, drives Lean initiatives, 5S/6S, and Tiered Process Audits to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and lead time.
- Safety & Compliance: Promotes a safe work environment through audits, hazard reporting, injury investigations, and implementation of corrective safety actions.
- Quality Management: Designs, monitors, and improves quality control processes using statistical and risk management techniques; ensures ISO/ITAR compliance and documentation standards.
- Team Leadership & Development: Coaches, trains, and evaluates employees; manages performance, attendance, promotions, and disciplinary actions; ensures cross-training and succession planning.
- Equipment & Process Oversight: Ensures proper use, maintenance, and care of tools and machinery; coordinates with engineers and support teams to resolve production issues and implement lasting corrective actions.
- Data & KPI Monitoring: Tracks departmental KPIs, analyzes performance, identifies root causes of issues, and takes corrective actions to improve results.
- Customer & Vendor Interface: Collaborates with cross-functional teams, customers, and vendors to resolve quality issues, support contract requirements, and implement process improvements.
What We're Looking For:
- 2 year Associates Degree in business manage mentor technical degree
- 2+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated leadership with the ability to set expectations, hold employees accountable, and motivate teams.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presenting to groups and writing reports.
- Collaborative team player with experience in root cause analysis and problem-solving.
- Customer-focused mindset with awareness of performance against budget and operational objectives.
- Hands-on approach to technical challenges, actively participating in problem-solving and process improvements.
- 3rd Shift Work Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 9:30PM to 6:00AM Eastern Time
