Cape Fox subsidiary Mountain Point is seeking qualified students interested in an Engineering Internship. The Engineering Intern works under the guidance of the Program Manager. The Engineering Intern assists with various critical tasks in solving infrastructure challenges critical to environmental, economic and national security viability. The Engineering Intern applies classroom knowledge to real-world situations and makes a meaningful impact on critical infrastructure projects.

Duties:



  • Assist in project planning and execution by streamlining data collaboration across platforms
  • Assist in reading plans and specs for contract requirements
  • Attend weekly TEAMs meetings for project reviews, assignments & deliverables
  • Conduct research and analysis; compile data into comprehensive report outlining data collaboration efficiency improvements across platforms
  • Assist with filing, document control, and maintaining project records.
  • Assist with critical submittal requirements
  • Complete required training during internship



Fall Semester



  • Data Collaboration Mapping across Construction Directorates
  • Work with Project Controls to Establish Data Sharing Protocols
  • Collaborate within Intern Program on priority projects


Spring Semester



  • Assist with Data Collection and Analysis
  • Assist with Subcontractor Requirements


Summer Break (Optional)



  • Complete on-site cross training during early run season
  • Complete new academic year Internship Assessment on capabilities to support contract as future full-time candidate

    • Mentor new interns if applicable




Work Environment

Primary work will be supporting construction efforts on U.S. Government contracts at military installations. Administrative support typically works in a variety of settings, including offices, facilities or construction sites. The work typically involves considerable travel and fieldwork, and the employee can be exposed to dangerous or stressful situations. The employee must use safety equipment to minimize the risk of illness or injury.
