As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Your presence and attention to detail will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Due to the safety sensitive nature of this role, qualified candidates must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law. This assignment is in a healthcare facility. As such, a tuberculosis (TB) test and certain vaccinations may be required.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Assist hospital staff with de-escalation of situations involving patients; restrain combative individuals as necessary (within company and customer guidelines)

• Transport deceased patients to the morgue, as needed

• Assist in escorting patients from helicopter pad (high elevation) to the emergency room

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain a secure environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the location to help to deter unauthorized access and report any irregularities.
• Document and report all security-related activities, observations, and incidents according to company and client procedures.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and visitors to help to maintain a welcoming and secure environment.

• At least 1 year of experience in a security-related role is required.
• Availability across various days and shifts
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
• A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in a security-related role is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
