Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Driver in New Haven, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the property. Your primary responsibilities include monitoring assigned areas and responding to situations as they arise, while delivering outstanding customer service and communication to everyone you interact with. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff within a healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while maintaining professionalism and composure.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and around its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel and/or authorities as required.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying identification as needed.
• Support Allied Universal in maintaining a welcoming and orderly environment within the healthcare location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
