As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. What You'll Do:

• Provide outstanding customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the retail environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activities and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas within the location to help to deter theft and support a welcoming environment.
• Communicate clearly with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding incidents, hazards, or other notable occurrences.
• Complete required reports and documentation related to security-related events, daily activities, and any incidents encountered during patrols.
• Remain alert and attentive to changes in the environment and follow all Allied Universal and client protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
