The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary Reporting to the Assistant Director of Faculty Advancement, the Program Manager will oversee the daily operations and programming for the Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Advancement (OVPFA). The Program Manager will provide oversight for the full management and lifecycle for the OVPFA's portfolio of programs and events, including workshops, conferences, events, initiatives, and special projects. The incumbent will have oversight for the planning of invited guest lecturers, speakers, faculty, University administrators and industry partners, as well as events and activities that interface with students and alumni. The Program Manager executes a wide variety of responsibilities pertaining to the unit's finances, data analysis, and communications. Responsibilities Program Management and Communications
- Provide technical guidance to participants of OVPFA meetings, programs, and events.
- Oversee detailed programming and event logistics, including presenter and panelist engagement; managing guest registrations, and the promotion, creation, and distribution of communication and programming materials.
- Proactively strategize, design, author, and post information on the OVPFA's social media profiles to build engagement and to amplify faculty news and accomplishments.
- Maintain a database of upcoming events, including events led by partner offices, and incorporate all materials into the University's event promotion platforms and the OVPFA website.
- Liaise with the appropriate University offices and manage external vendors to meet deadlines for deliverables.
- Continuously identify, evaluate, and execute operational improvements while properly assessing and adapting to campus access policies, procedures, and services.
Research/Data Analysis
- Compile literature reviews for planned publications.
- Perform benchmarking research, tracking information from Ivy + peers.
- Create graphs, data visualizations, infographics and other communications.
- Compile analytics reports for the unit's communications, marketing, and events efforts.
- Manage the OVPFA databases, ensuring that office records are kept current.
Financial Management
- Prepare confidential review materials and draft award notifications for the office's grants management processes.
- Facilitate the OVPFA recurring financial activity through management of a Purchasing Card account.
Additional related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent and a minimum of two to four years of related experience required; preferably in a university or other complex organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and effectively.
- Proofreading skills are a must.
- Experience in program planning, project management, and event planning.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders (faculty, staff, University administrators, and external colleagues).
- Must display resourcefulness, discretion, attention to detail, flexibility, a tolerance for ambiguity, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a highly organized, enthusiastic self-starter who is committed to uplifting inclusion and belonging in the academy.
Technical Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong knowledge of desktop publishing software (Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, Canva) and other publishing or database software is preferred.
- Familiarity with e-mail marketing platforms (ex., Hubspot).
- Familiarity with basic web design systems (ex., Drupal) is a plus.
- Familiarity with basic video editing (ex., iMovie).
