The class should incorporate classical ballet vocabulary and may include contemporary and/or neo-classical ballet styles as well. The ballet class will be taught once a week during Winter Quarter (January 2, 2026 - March 21, 2026) and/or Spring Quarter 2026 (March 25, 2026 - June 14, 2026). The successful candidate will teach a 10-week course designed for undergraduate and graduate dance majors, emphasizing technical proficiency, artistic expression, and an understanding of ballet's evolution within contemporary practice. Approaches that integrate historical, somatic, or interdisciplinary perspectives on ballet training are especially welcome.
