| Description
 Join our dynamic research administration team and play a pivotal role in advancing groundbreaking research! Reporting to the Department Chair, CAO, CFO, and other departmental leaders, you will serve as the primary resource for all pre-award administration for intra- and extramurally funded research awards. Collaborating closely with Principal Investigators (PIs) and fellow research staff, you will help ensure proposals are prepared accurately, submitted efficiently, and fully compliant-directly supporting the department's mission to drive innovation and discovery.
  Salary: $5,908.33 - $12,100 monthly This is a rehire limited 1 year appointment role at 37.5% FTE through November 23, 2026. Qualifications
 
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field, or equivalent experience. 2. High School Diploma. 3. 5+ years of research administration experience. 4. Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate information in a timely, professional manner. 5. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with various stakeholders. 6. Ability to set priorities and complete ongoing tasks with competing deadlines, with frequent interruptions, to meet programmatic and financial needs. 7. Close attention to detail in a fast-paced, fluctuating workload environment. 8. Organization skills to create and maintain administrative and financial files effectively. 9. Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft suite software, especially Excel. 10. Strong organization skills, ability to prioritize job functions, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously with multiple proposal submission systems. 11. Experience preparing, managing, and projecting budgets. 12. Mathematical skills for the preparation of complex calculations and forecasts and to identify and resolve complicated financial scenarios. 13. Knowledge of and experience working with a variety of external sponsors, federal and state sponsors, private foundations, industry sponsors, etc. 14. Strong writing skills in a variety of styles to draft persuasive text for a variety of audiences while ensuring adherence to funding sponsor's guidelines. 15. Demonstrated knowledge of effective grant funding processes, procedures and techniques 16.
