Job Description:

Providing for loved ones, planning rewarding retirements, saving enough for whatever lies ahead - our policyholders count on us to be there when it matters most. It's a big ask, but it's one that we have the power to deliver when we work together. We collaborate and innovate - pushing one another to transform not just Pacific Life, but the entire industry for the better. Why? Because it's the right thing to do. Pacific Life is more than a job, it's a career with purpose. It's a career where you have the support, balance, and resources to make a positive impact on the future - including your own.

We're actively seeking a talented Apptio TBM Administrator Engineer to join our TBM Team.

This role is remote to hybrid. We believe in empowering our employees to get work done both in and out of the office.

As a TBM Engineer you'll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by shaping and scaling a strategic TBM function. You will fill a new role that sits on a team of 5 people in the IT Finance division. Your colleagues will include individual contributors to executive-level professionals. Come be part of a growing organization with a strong focus on innovation and transparency.

How you'll help move us forward:

  • Serve as the Apptio Administrator, acting as the primary technical resource ("hands on keyboard") within the TBM Governance team.

  • Maintain allocation models, conduct resource and spend analysis, generate ad-hoc reports, and support broader TBM initiatives through technical execution and data stewardship.

  • Design, implement, and maintain TBM models and reporting frameworks to support cost transparency and value realization.

  • Partner with Finance, Technology, and Business stakeholders to align TBM data with strategic objectives.

  • Conduct Apptio tool training for business partners.

  • Manage and help optimize TBM tools (e.g., Apptio, ServiceNow, or similar platforms).

  • Translate complex financial and operational data into actionable insights for executive leadership.

  • Support chargeback/showback processes.

  • Ensure data integrity and governance across TBM systems.

The experience you bring:

  • 5+ years' IT or Finance industry experience and related education.

  • 3+ years' experience as an Apptio Administrator, including direct "hands on keyboard" development in both Apptio and Cloudability. Experience should include building and maintaining dashboards, creating reports, and assisting in the development and maintenance of allocation models.

  • Strong understanding of IT cost structures, service costing, and financial modeling.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

What makes you stand out:

  • TBM certification (CTBME or Apptio Product Certifications) or experience in a TBM Center of Excellence is a plus.

  • Experience with automation, APIs, and ETL processes is highly desirable.

You can be who you are.

We are committed to a culture of diversity and inclusion that embraces the authenticity of all employees, partners and communities. We support all employees to thrive and achieve their fullest potential. What's life like at Pacific Life? Visit Instagram.com/lifeatpacificlife
