The Community Engagement Administrative Assistant provides administrative and coordination support for the SOAR Programs community engagement initiatives. This role assists with scheduling participants, managing communications, and logistics related to outreach activities, community partnerships, and events. The administrative assistant also provides direct support to three faculty and principal investigators, ensuring smooth coordination of their community-based projects and research efforts. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals, including community members, leaders, and research partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates scheduling for interviews and other in-person or virtual activities.
  • Organizes and participates in calls and meetings with community leaders, partner organizations, and other stakeholders.
  • Assists with community engagement administrative tasks, including documentation and tracking of activities.
  • Supports planning and attendance for community engagement events, as assigned by program leadership.
  • Provides administrative support for the Partner Summit and related engagement events.
  • Serves as back-up support for payment processes and performsadditional administrative duties as needed to support program operations.
  • Manage outreach mailings (postcards, flyers) to individuals who do not respond to electronic communication (email/text/phone)

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to interact professionally and effectively with diverse populations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Teams, Zoom).
  • Certification or vocational training may be preferred. 1 year of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be required. Associate degree in relevant field may be preferred. 2 years of relevant experience required. 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred.
