As a Security Officer - Cultural Institution - Full Time in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a renowned cultural institution, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the location. Your responsibilities include monitoring the premises, supporting a welcoming atmosphere for visitors, and delivering exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any unusual conditions.
• Monitor the premises and report any security-related concerns or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Offer assistance and guidance to visitors and staff within the location, demonstrating a helpful and approachable presence.
• Support access control procedures by observing entry and exit points and/or verifying credentials as required.
• Document observations, incidents and/or activities as outlined in site-specific protocols and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
