Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by performing routine patrols and remaining a visible presence within a retail environment. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring assigned areas, providing outstanding customer service, and communicating with both the public and team members. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the premises by vehicle to help maintain a secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify any potential concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or irregularities within the location to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, verifying credentials as required, and provide general assistance to visitors and staff.
• Work collaboratively with retail staff to support a secure and welcoming environment for all patrons.
• Maintain accurate and detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
