Job Description




As a Security Professional - Patrol Driver Government in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a government setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a strong presence throughout the location. In this primarily driving post, you will conduct routine patrols in a vehicle, remain visible to help foster a secure environment, and offer exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with problem-solving skills.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activities.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related breaches to the appropriate personnel and/or authorities.
  • Support Allied Universal and client management by maintaining a visible presence and assisting visitors, employees, and others as needed.
  • Assist first responders and/or emergency personnel in the event of an emergency at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
