Substance Abuse Specialist: Substance Use Clinician  We are seeking an experienced Substance Use Clinician to join Montefiore/UBA's interdisciplinary team supporting children and families within the child welfare system. Substance Use Consultants will provide assessments and consultations to families referred by our partners at the NYC Administration for Children's Services (ACS) in the Bronx. This is an exciting opportunity for a credentialed CASAC (MA preferred) with expertise in substance use disorders (SUD) and a strong understanding of the unique needs of families impacted by child welfare involvement. Montefiore, the University Hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine, is nationally recognized for clinical excellence, research, and community partnerships that improve health outcomes across New York City. University Behavioral Associates (UBA), a part of Montefiore, is dedicated to providing innovative, evidence-based behavioral health and child welfare services to support children, families, and communities. CSP clinical staff will be based at one of the following Bronx locations: 1200 Waters Place, 2100 Bartow Avenue, and 2501 Grand Concourse (with responsibilities at 1775 Grand Concourse). Staff may be expected to travel between locations at times. The typical shift is M-F from 8:30am-5pm but occasional evenings may be required. About the Role As a Substance Use Clinician, you will provide specialized assessments, consultations, and clinical guidance to support staff and teams working with families affected by substance use. Your work will ensure that service planning and interventions address both the safety of children and the treatment and recovery needs of caregivers. We are hiring multiple Substance Use Clinicians, and are particularly interested in hiring staff experienced in working with both adolescents and adults. This is a Union (1199) position.
