The OSM (Operations and Service Management) Lead Solution Consultant's mission is to drive increased sales by helping prospects understand the potential value of investing in OpenText solutions and guiding customers toward realizing that value.

The Lead Solution Consultant (SC) plays a key role in understanding the customer's current IT ecosystem and strategy, and in building a holistic view of OpenText solutions deployment as part of their digital transformation journey.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

The Lead Solution Consultant is a senior-level professional, part of the Enterprise OSM GTM team inside the Presales community, who is capable of managing multiple engagements in complex environments and collaborating with many different stakeholders.

  • Supporting corporate efforts to enable the sales teams and provide feedback about new developments across the OSM portfolio, including how recent trends and best practices can impact our business.
  • Participating in Territory/Account/Opportunity planning meetings.
  • Identifying potential opportunities based on known and discovered technical requirements of customers.
  • Partnering with the sales teams throughout the sales cycle from the discovery and qualification phase to deal closure, ensuring internal alignment, and becoming a trusted advisor.
  • Working with prospects and customers to provide a consensus-based solution that is scalable and adaptable to ever-changing business needs.
  • Researching and completing technical RFx responses. Participate in the final review of the RFx response.
  • Working closely with Account Executives to clearly communicate the value and capabilities of OpenText's OSM (aka ITOM) Products and Solutions.
  • Creating and delivering custom software presentations relevant to customer needs and expectations.
  • Developing and providing technical demonstrations specific to customer requirements.
  • Leading technical portions of design sessions. Document the as-is and the desired future state.
  • Uncovering, scoping, and executing on well-defined proof of concepts.
  • Assisting Account Executives in relationship management and developing technical sales information/tools.
  • Interacting with Sales, Global Services, and Partners to create and finalize Solution offerings and initial Project delivery plans.
  • Representing OpenText at Trade Shows and industry events.
  • Analyzing data from various sources and synthesizing alternatives to create innovative solutions that will meet and evolve beyond current requirements.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • 4+ years of experience in solution consulting, presales, or enterprise architecture, preferably in a SaaS/Cloud environment.
  • Hands-on experience with IT Operations Management solutions, including CMDB, Discovery, and ITSM/ESM use cases, especially in an ITIL context.
  • Understanding of Asset Management concepts across IT and non-IT assets
  • Strong grasp of IT infrastructure, virtualization (VMware, Red Hat), and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Industry certifications such as ITIL, IT4IT, OSS/BSS; VMware or Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MCSE, VCA, VCP) are a plus.
  • Experience with cloud architecture principles as well as certifications in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud are highly desirable.
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to engage both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Comfort with problem-solving, time management and task prioritization
  • Highly collaborative, capable of working effectively across regions and diverse teams.
  • Self-driven and results-oriented, with a strong commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.

Compensation: At OpenText, we offer a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing. As you move through the hiring process, we're happy to provide more details about our compensation programs, including variable and commission compensation opportunities for eligible roles, vacation entitlement, and paid time off.

Salary Range: $123,000 - $184,700 + variable; Depending on the candidate's education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
