Security Officer - Tech/Media Telecom Patrol

As a Security Officer - Tech/Media Telecom Patrol in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols, maintaining high visibility, and providing excellent customer service. You will interact with a variety of people while monitoring and reporting on activities to support a secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, helping to deter unwanted activity within the tech, media, and telecom location.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior and report security-related incidents as required by site procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to address any security-related concerns or needs specific to the tech, media, and telecom environment.
• Maintain awareness of client policies and procedures relevant to the location and apply them during patrols.
• Complete required reports and documentation accurately and promptly as part of Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Applicants should be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
