Job Description

Job Summary:



The Production Supervisor leads the CHA / CHS Manufacturing floor activities that support product deliveries for America's war fighter. The Supervisor is a member of a growing manufacturing group that specializes in electro-mechanical assemblies for land, sea and air applications. The Supervisor participates in the manufacturing readiness of New Product Introduction (NPI) as well as current established Products. The Supervisor maintains company policies and adheres to ISO9001/AS9100 quality requirements in production coordination efforts.



Job Responsibilities:



  • Supervise a wide variety of electro-mechanical product assembly and test operations while maintaining proper configuration and high-quality standards.
  • Set objectives and tasks necessary to meet production schedules.
  • Ensure employees comply with all procedures and processes specified in Mercury Systems, Inc. QMS.
  • Maintain logs, paperwork, and forms consistent with company policy and practices.
  • Maintain inventory of Shop Supplies / Consumable Floor Stock
  • Demonstrate through knowledge in lean manufacturing to minimize waste without sacrificing productivity.
  • Ensure adherence to COMSEC rules and regulations.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to ESD protocols.
  • Develop relationships with QA and Engineering to improve production flow and execution.
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering and QA with root cause analysis as needed.
  • Ensure tools and support equipment are available and maintained as required.
  • Conduct AS9100 internal floor audits as well as regular GEMBA walks.
  • Capture KPIs as required by management.
  • Assist/ perform prototype assembly as necessary and provide necessary feedback to support procedure generation and factory setup.
  • Maintain training records and conduct training as required.
  • Ensure a positive work environment that encourages increased productivity, a high level of collaboration and inspires creativity.
  • Drive and maintain continuous improvement (kaizen) pipeline.
  • Daily tier communication.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.


Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Typically requires a minimum 5 years of experience in an electronic manufacturing/production role
  • 1-3 years of previous manufacturing leadership experience is required
  • Experience working with an ISO9001 and / or AS9100 registered QMS
  • Familiarity with PC software (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of Lean Manufacturing
  • Ability to multi-task and to execute under pressure


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with MRP and factory control tools
  • Understanding of Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt / Green Belt
  • Knowledge of RCA/RCCA Methodologies - 5 Why's, Fishbone, 8D
  • Knowledge of IPC-610, IPC-620, IPC-JSTD-001

  4. Requires good manual dexterity and coordination, and stamina. Specific abilities required by this job include the frequent requirement of overtime work.

Job Details
Fulltime Equivalent Job Grade Range for this Position:
* $58,200.00 - $116,400.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in FL, GA, IN, AZ, AL, MD or TX, and all remote employees
* $65,200.00 - $130,400.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in VA, CA, NH or MA
* $68,700.00 - $137,400.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in NJ
