Multimedia Coordinator- Camp Cullen

Position Summary:

Supervises multimedia staff (Photographers and Videographers) to ensure quality of photos and videos. Will upload quality photos of camp participants toCamp Cullen's photo distribution softwareonce per day(minimum)ensuring uploads aretimelyand pictures of the day are uploaded the same day. Will oversee videos and video editing in preparation for video to be shared at closing ceremonies each week.Provides a quality experiencetochildren and parents focused on youth development including the YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, caring, and faith.

Essential Functions:

  • Will organize and plan efficient strategy to maximize theamountof photos taken every week, Sunday-Friday.
  • Willmaintain quality ofphotography.
  • Will work with other members of the media team and administrative staff team to ensurethere is always someone photographing staff and campers.
  • Throughout the week, this individual will upload pictures taken each day at the end of every day. Photos must be uploaded once adayminimum.

    • Pictures mustviewedbefore posting to ensure thereisno inappropriate aspects in the photos.

  • Willbe brought in to support cabins/campers/staff when necessary.

    • When co counselors are on time off, this position will step in to help supervise children if needed.

  • Will organize and plan efficient strategies to maximize quality and duration of videos taken at camp of campers and staff.
  • Will oversee video editing process to ensure quality, timeliness and uploading of the video at the end of the week.
  • Will work withDirectorteamtocome up withmultimedia projects to produce marketingmaterials usedthroughout the next year.
  • All other duties assigned

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions. Nonsmoking and drug and alcohol free work environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate toloud. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes and airborne particles, toxic, or caustic chemicals, extreme heat, and/or blood. The employee regularly is exposed to bodily excretions of children, depending on developmental level of children in the employee's care. The job is working for a YMCA ResidentCamp Programlocated at YMCA Camp Cullen in Trinity, TX.

Qualifications:

  • Prefer 1 year of filming and editing experience.
  • CPR, First aid and O2certifications and Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hire date.
  • Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations

Other Requirements:

The Multimedia Coordinator is required to live on the camp property during the season.
