The Test Supervisor oversees personnel, equipment, scheduling, and continuous improvement within the Test Lab to ensure customer satisfaction and effective utilization of company resources. This role ensures the lab maintains the capability and capacity to test all current and forecasted avionics hardware and supports overall site growth.

General Function
The Test Supervisor is responsible for managing Test Lab operations, including standard equipment, processes, capacity, and continuous improvement. This position ensures the lab can support all internal test requirements and aligns resources with customer delivery and financial goals.

Nature and Scope
This role reports to the Operations Manager and collaborates closely with Human Resources, Sales and Marketing, Program Management, Engineering, Purchasing, Assembly and Test, and management at all levels. The supervisor may also interact with customers as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Capability Management

Maintain capability to test all avionics products delivered by Moog.
Oversee lab processes, equipment, certifications, calibration, maintenance, trained personnel, and coordination of outside testing services.
Manage capital purchases and department expenses.
Partner with Test Engineering regarding custom test equipment strategies.

Capacity Management

Define and maintain capacity including floorspace, staffing, equipment, and external testing services.
Review and update monthly supply vs. demand and implement required actions.
Conduct annual headcount forecasting and staffing actions such as requisitions, interviewing, onboarding, and performance reviews.
Monitor employee utilization against budget.

Long Range Planning

Assess Test Lab layout and identify floorspace needs in alignment with the site's longrange (5year) plan.

Scheduling

Use capability and capacity data to analyze requirements, identify gaps, and develop solutions.
Communicate risks and constraints to management.
Monitor progress against the internal test plan and provide regular status updates.
Coordinate with Test Engineering to understand future capability or capacity changes.
Provide education across the organization on Test Lab processes and limitations.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business or engineering.
Minimum five years of electronics testing experience.
Working knowledge of electronics testing processes, equipment, leadtime impacts, and ontime delivery expectations.
Understanding of MRP II systems and ability to quickly learn Moog-specific systems.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency with spreadsheets and scheduling/capacity planning tools.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across multiple functions.

Accountabilities
Develop and maintain a realistic and achievable test plan.
Provide promise dates for all programs and ensure alignment with shipment plans.
Maintain and track test hours for scheduled work.
Evaluate and communicate impacts of expedited requests or schedule delays.
Monitor test plan execution and resolve capacity or process constraints.
Maintain data accuracy for department budgets and planning.
Lead cycle time reduction initiatives.
Review forecasts and internal sales orders for accuracy and coordinate resolution of discrepancies.
Develop a test department strategy, staffing plan, and budget aligned with fiscal and longrange planning requirements.

Salary Range Transparency:

Phoenix, AZ $80,000.00-$120,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
