Animator / Motion Designer This is a 12-month, full-time (40 hours/week), hybrid contract role located in Culver City, CA. Summary
We are seeking an Animator / Motion Designer to elevate the motion and animation quality of consumer software applications. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to enhance user experiences and bring software design to the next level. Our Ideal Candidate
7+ years of experience in animation, motion graphics, compositing, and 3D
Passion for design with a strong foundation in classic animation principles
Proficient in After Effects, Maya, Cinema 4D, or similar 3D software, and experienced with rendering engines such as Octane, Arnold, or RedShift
Familiar with mobile UI design, prototyping, and motion design workflows
Skilled in collaborating with product, engineering, marketing, and QA teams
Able to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines
Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and timelines
Strong written and verbal communication with exceptional attention to detail
Self-starter, problem solver, and excellent communicator
Job Description
In this role, you will create high-quality animation and motion design for software applications, enhancing user experiences and product storytelling. You'll partner with product, design, engineering, marketing, and QA teams to deliver polished and effective motion solutions. This includes designing, prototyping, and implementing animations across mobile and desktop platforms. You will also maintain animation and motion resources, supporting the team's overall success and creative consistency. Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Animation, Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Background in design, motion graphics, or related creative disciplines
Experience in consumer software, mobile apps, or product design is a plus
Additional Requirements
This opportunity is located in Culver City, CA, and requires hybrid work
Pay Rate: $105.61/hour
