SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Responsible for leading a large distribution center ensuring operational excellence, financial performance, and "best in class" service to external and internal customers. This role oversees all distribution center operations including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and compliance with Good Distribution Practices for medical devices. Oversee and manage integration of advanced systems including WMS, ERP, and automated material handling equipment. The position requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and expertise in optimizing processes to deliver cost-effective, timely, and compliant distribution operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED

1. Directs and supervises all distribution center personnel, including interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating performance, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
2. Develop staffing plans, schedules work and ensure team engagement and productivity.
3. Oversee day-to-day operations of a large-scale distribution center, ensuring compliance with company standards and GDP (Good Distribution Practices) for medical device distribution.
4. Drives continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflows and reduce operational costs.
5. Implements and monitors KPIs for productivity, service, quality, and safety.
6. Knowledgeable in Customs, FDA, HS codes and other required documents to ensure efficient international shipping.
7. Ensures distribution employees receive timely and recurring training in all relevant areas for their job function, including, but not limited to: electronic shipping systems, safety, hazardous materials, HR policies, FCPA, inventory controls, forklift operations, and international shipping processes, etc.
8. Maintains positive working relationships with key internal/external stakeholders.
9. Manages the site's financial performance, budget planning, and cost control measures.
10. Interfaces with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
11. Ensures effective use and optimization of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and integration with ERP systems.
12. Oversees implementation and maintenance of automated material handling equipment, conveyors, and related technologies.
13. Maintains robust inventory control processes, ensuring accurate picking, shipping, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
14. Performs additional tasks and assignments as required to support business objectives.

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* Minimum 10+ years of logistics experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role managing large teams and complex operations.
* Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, storage principles, and warehouse organization.
* Experience with WMS, TMS, ERP systems, and automated material handling equipment.
* Excellent verbal/written communication skills, and the ability to train distribution center staff.
* Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills and identify/drive continuous improvement.
* Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and financial performance.
* Demonstrated high level competency in MS office suite, warehouse and transportation specific software and systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Familiarity with medical device distribution and GDP compliance.
* Certified Hazardous Material Shipper or related experience.
* Advanced operational systems and data analytics skills.
